Kim Cordingly, Ph.D.

Kim Cordingly began working at JAN in 1985. She is currently the lead consultant with the Self-Employment Team assisting individuals with disabilities who are interested in becoming self-employed or starting a small business.

Kim received an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan with a specialization in English education and later a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from West Virginia University (WVU). In 2007, she graduated with a doctoral degree in geography from WVU with the following interrelated areas of specialization: economic geography and work restructuring, socio-spatial perspectives on disability and illness, gender and home-based employment, and qualitative research methods. Kim is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Geology and Geography and a faculty associate with the Center for Women's Studies.

Kim is a member of the Association of American Geographers and the National Women's Studies Association.
